Ordered from Powder 7 after trying to buy some so-called "demo skis in good condition" on Sideline Swap (Received a pair of skis in pitiful condition that were not even the correct size. Then had to eat the shipping and return the crappy skis).
ENTER POWDER 7: I decided to try these Head Kore W's for my daughter's first set of boards. They came in awesome condition exactly as per the description. Would not hesitate to buy from Powder 7 in the future and happy to give a good review for this reputable retailer.
As for the boards: Daughter is 16 and has been skiing since 9 years old and can ski blacks pretty well. I always felt the rental places gave her skis that were too short. Was a little worried 170s would be too long but she immediately took to these skis, loving the lightness and stability at speed. She made it down her first double black on them without falling. Not too much ski for her at all...she did not find them too demanding and can whip em around in the bumps and trees. Hold an edge great on groomers...at 140 lbs she was bending the ski well and they were giving back (had been worried they might be too stiff).
Demo bindings are heavier but I like that they can be adusted back for powder and that she can experiment with moving mounting point forward or aft. Plus demo bindings make the skis easier to resell as they will fit all buyers' boot sizes. Finally, these demo bindings these were some of lighter ones on the market. Since the skis are way light overall she's got a very light set up.
Psyched on the boards and Powder 7!
